I am looking for a windshiled washer bottle. Mine has a crack in it, and I need to finally get one. It is a pain not having the squirters working.
If anyone has one, lemme know!
I have a 1979 Sedan Deville......Thanks!

It might be similar to a 80-92 Brougham, I'm not sure. Those will be a lot easier to find. Or, if the crack in yours isn't too terrible, you could probably seal it up with some silicone.

I am not sure if their the same or not.

I tried some sealer on it, and failed terribly!

Someone overtightened the one nut, and it cracked. It is in a awkward postion where it needs sealed. I wish there was something I could pour into it, and seal it.

It is the same as my 1978, and I have been hunting one for over 2 years now, with none ever showing up. I think that they all have cracks and that is the problem.

Your probably right. I have one resource left. A guy down the road has 5 caddys in his body shop lot. They are all approx. 77-79, and their parts cars. He has not been in his shop lately at all. I need to see what I can get off of them. If he has two, one will be yours.

Is this a glass bottle like the 50's cars??? IIRC the big Broughams ('90's at least) had plain old plastic jugs just like the coolant reservoir.

Everyone knows Caddys use plastique. Plastic is just so common....:halo:

Mine is plastic of course. Kinda funny shaped, I actually should take a photo of it. It is not normal looking!..

There was a recall on the 1978 washer tanks. I wonder if yours was part of that recall? hmmmm.:xsmile:

I should go to the dealer Monday morning, and tell them I am here to get the recall warranty on it.....:contract:

I'll take the camera so I can get the look on their face when I tell them!...

I don't like plastic either .
I think you should buy new such parts because you know plastic is not as soild and durable as metal . So, how can you warranty that your junkyard plastic is still in a good condition

JUNKMAN - If you have access to the THOMAS CATALOG (it's an industrial catalog of EVERYTHING) I would almost guar-a-damn-tee that some glass container manufacturer still produces a glass jar with a spin-on top with the proper threads and depth for that washer bottle.
Most insurance companies also have access to the TomCat as well when they have to come up with replacement items after a loss. The company I worked for as a safety engineer had one in every major claims office.
The "Tom-Cat" is sort of a bible for purchasing agents and can often be found in some libraries.

A post on one of the other sites stated that they were able to repair theirs by using a torch or lighter ( I don't remember ) and plastic bags to repair theirs. His repair was along the seam where they often fail. Has anyone tried a glue gun?
I may have an extra one kicking around somewhere.

Go get a glass mayonnaise jar and rig it up.
