Indeed!! That thing looks and sounds sounds great!! Wonder what kind of horsepower it produces?
Mind boggling amounts..... 650+

Actually, what was the custom built deal that Jay Leno put in his Oldsmobile Toronado? I think that think churned out over 1,000 HP.
Now THAT would be sweet...not street legal, but sweet!

That was "just" a '97-04 5.7L Vette LS1 (came from the Vette chassis they also used), twin turbo'd and then properly tuned by GM engineers.
Similar idea here...but supercharged instead of turbo's, and larger displacement. Quite the beast.
Leno kept something true to form for the Toro... 425 CID....

Leno used the C-6 Corvette frame that was lengthend and C-6 Driveline, then turbo'd it. He has over Toros as well though.... I think

The motor was not a 5.7 motor. It was a 427 Crate racing motor that really is not available to the public. I watched the build-up on T.V. a few weeks ago. They did a rotisserie rebuild on the car. Actually spun it on a rotissere like a chicken!!! It indeed did generate 1000 Horsepower!! Jay took it to a race track and smoked the tires through the first 3 gears..... Have you all seen his 1920's style race car with the Army Tank Engine???? It has a dump truck / School Bus transmission to handle all the torque!

So what the cost for a ZR1 LS9 crate engine? Gas milage? ....I should probably stop dreaming, now. lol

Yeah, not released yet, and think of at least $10k.
For any sort of conversion, you are so much better off using a current LS-series GM truck engine, such as the 6.0L. More suited to heavier vehicles and an endless amount of add-ons, tuning, etc., and common...so cheap.
A person on the Impala SS forum recently did a successful swap of a GM truck 6.0L ALSO supercharged, into his Caprice. It's not easy, but definitely doable with the time and money, and can be worth it for sure. I'd be tempted with a naturally aspirated version (i.e. no turbo, s/c, etc.) if my car was more worn out and, well, I even had the desire to keep it to the point of making such a swap...which is a big no.
