: iPod Connection Kit for STS-V?

I am trying to find the best kit for connection of my iPod to the Bose radio in my STS-V. So far, I have found that the iConnect kits don't seem to work with the STS-V and the iPod Lockpick by Coastal doesn't seem to work either. The best option I have been able to acquire is a cable to play through the RCA Aux connections but this does not let me control playback using the radio touch screen.

Do you know of a good alternative?

I'm looking for the same for a same year STS non-V. Check this post.

Thanks. I sent a message to iPodCarParts.com to see if it will really work. There is a listing for the 2006-2007 STS, however it does not say whether it is for a standard STS or STS-V Bose Nav radio with XM or if this even matters.

I have been told by the retailers for iConnect and Coastal's GM iPod LockPick that they will not work with the STS because of the specific LAN type that it is (GMLAN 11 BIT?).

I am trying to confirm more about the STS and will post what I find. I am hoping someone from Lindsay will help.

I heard back from iPodCarParts.com. They say it IS compatible with the STS:

Hello Chuck,

I apologize for the delay in responding, unfortunately your email was blocked by our spam filter so I just saw it. I called PIE and the specifically told me the '06 STS with Nav and XM radio IS compatible with the GM2LPODS and requires the GM2LX01 harness.

Best Regards,
Derek

The link for the GM2LPODS at iPodCarParts is: http://ipodcarparts.com/chevroletgm-lanclass-radio-ipod-interface-with-auxiliary-p-291.html

I've ordered one and will post the results.
