:hmm:It was a sad day where there is the Hot New X L R in which i finally said to myself, at last an American luxury performance automobile to go head to head with the Mercedes 500 SL. Here comes the problem. How does a six foot, five inch human get in the car with your head cocked resting on your right shoulder and your knees slammed up against the dash board and your leggs are pinned and you can"t even get to the pedals.I just do not believe or yes i do believe that Cadillacs engineering and marketing would let this class of a car have this major set back. If your six foot or shorter you have a shot. Come on Cadillac design team. Were you designers thinking of your own comfort of your height or weight only. Pro celeberties such as football, basketball, even baseball players are the cliental that purchase these kind of cars. Being a former player and a Cadillac dealer manager, WHO WAS RESPOSIBLE FOR THIS ? and what were they thinking! :rant2:
I'm 6'3" and 225 lbs. and I fit into my XLR just fine with plenty of wiggle room.

That surprises me. Probably at 295 lbs and broad shouldered it is rough to be Comfortable. I will try once again with all the seat adjustments . I hope to find a way to get that so called comfort feel so i can do way with my complaint. :hmm:
I traded in an 03 Cobra on the XLR, now that was a stretch for me due to the repeated shifting of gears and the bolstered seats. I don't want you think the fit for me in the XLR doesn't leave me desiring MORE room, however I fit comfortably enough that I enjoy many hours behind the wheel.

I too was disappointed by the headroom in the XLR. I'm 6"2 but all my height is in my upper body so I sit very high. I have a corvette Z06, and I fit fine in that, so I was hoping for the same from the XLR. No such luck. Getting in was unpleasant, and my head was firmly in contact with the roof the whole time. I think I might be able to make myself comfortable if I really fiddled with the seating position, but in all I was disappointed. I think most of the problem comes from the seats, which are much higher than the vette's seats. The retractable roof may also be a bit lower. But I do know this...the room is there, cause it's there in the vette...replacing the seats (or perhaps modifying them) will probably make it more comfortable. If I end up looking at one of these cars as a serious purchase consideration I'll definitely be seeking a way to add headroom.

i am 6'4 and fit fine, my hair doesnt graize the top. i dont think you guys are putting the seat down low enough, because i actually have it up from tis bottom position and still sit fine. its the same or better headroom as my grand prixs had or the CTS.

I think your seats should be looked at because I'm 6'3 and I wear a 32 length pants, so you know most of my height is from my belt up. I weigh 226 and have no problems once I get my legs in the car. :)Thats the only problem I had a truck before and I don't have all that much head room but I feel very comfrortable in it.
