Hello All!

I have been lurking a little here and there, doing some research and reading up on all of your cars. I feel I had ought to introduce myself.

I bought this car a couple months ago after a quick search, I found her at a car show at the for sale lot. With 91000 miles on the clock, I left a very happy guy haha.

Anywho, I'll blab after I show yall what you came here to see, The car.

Quick fill up one night

Welcome! Cool car, I wish my '70 looked like that when I bought it, it had about the same miles as yours even.

Good luck with your car, and tell me, how is the 429 to drive and work on?

I cut a couple of coils off the rear springs, cheap style upgrade, I just miss that huge boat ride... Still need to get to the fronts

The 429 is a very easy engine to work with. I mean, in example, I just woke up, went outside, grbbed some ratchets and took the AC compressor belt off in under 10 minutes.

When ya got that much space, everything is pretty easy.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

You`ve got one Classic Caddy dinosaur from the past ----what a beauty! I sure wish they were made that HUUUUUUGE today.

I like the stock suspension rather than the lowrider----but,to each his own.

Enjoy your Caddy land boat! You will definitely get some attention with that Classic!

Welcome aboard.
Stunning vehicle.
The '65 and '66 years as well as the '41s are my favorites of all Cadillac models.
You have yourself a real winner.
Enjoy. :highfive:

77CDV Does that magazine come in at Boarders? Where did you see it?

The only thing I like about the cut springs is the lower ride, I don't care for the ride quality at all. Bigger cars to me, always looked nicer closer to the ground.

I'm surprised and at the same time, not surprised at the love I get when driving this car, It appeals to everybody. My supra appealed to younger kids, people my age(primarily asians) and maybe older gents who had one when they were new. I get a lot of thumbs up and stares from everybody with this car! Most people I talk with always tell me how much they love caddies with fins and the older 50's models. I guess this is just the "lost" generation.

Daily driving this 42 year old beautiful piece of America iron is no easy task(definitely hurting the wallet) but you gotta pay to play right?

Beautiful car.

My Fleetwood sags in the ass because of a blown compressor/worn springs, which I'm going to fix. The ghetto drop kills the look IMHO, but she's yours. Enjoy.

Gorgeous car; enjoy it. They're meant to be driven. I drive my '64 Impala a lot as well (would driver her more if gas wasn't so damn expensive) and always enjoy the positive attention she receives.

Great looking Cad! I have always liked the vertical headlight models. Also, the dial cruise control is really cool on these cars. Enjoy your ride.

Kyle,

Collectible Automobile should be available at any bookstore or news stand, though I take a subscription. There's a picture of a red 65 Fleetwood that just makes me drool....
