Wow, great car. If the interior was black... ohhhh.

Needs different tires though.

Very nice...Sans the 4.1 and non-genuine wire wheels.

Wow... that sunroof is huge! Are all Cadillac factory sunroofs that big? Benzilla? Sure does look alot bigger than the dealer add-on one that I have.

Yeah, that looks like a standard issue Cadillac sized moonroof. Although Lincoln had some even bigger.

That same estate had an absolutely pristine 76 Fleetwood Brougham for sale, not even 10 thousand miles on it.

Say what you will, I think the blue interior is pretty darn cool.

For a collector's perspective, it is almost a gem

What happened to the 4100 "badges" on the front fenders below the rub strip?
Was the entire doghouse replaced after a massive collision or did some of the cars come thru without notification that the 4100 motor was hiding under the hood?

Guys,

Hi. A couple of serious questions about this '85 FWB coupe. What is it really worth?

It looks a very straight clean car. A buddy of mine in the UK [yes, honestly really] is on the search for his first American car and has known my Coronation yellow '79 Coupe in my avatar for a long time.

He's now got over the size thing after consideration of some G bodys or maybe older A body coupe's and settled on a '77 '79 Coupe de Ville as The One. Mainly becuase of the 425 engine.

He's looking at quite a few round and about on and off ebay and is weighing the pros and cons of this one up.

Now I know we all think $8900 or whatever is very very steep for this car but what is it really worth IYHO, please?

Finally, since this is one of a choice for him is anyone out there really set on this car. I don't want to kick off a bidding war for someone who has been looking for a Fleetwood coupe for ages and is set on this one.
If that is the case please email me at nickstratta@eircom.net and we can make sure we don't do each other a disservice!

By the time the car is in the UK it doesn;t really matter whether it is a $5000 or a $3000 car since the shipping and import costs are $2500- $3000 anyway, so the thinking is that $2000 an extra for a really special rare example of the breed is a good 'investment'.

Shame he won't be able to smoke the rear tyres in it with that 41000 like I could in the old '79 tho! [sorry, innapropraite comment].

I've got nothing in this personally. I just want to see a good buddy of mine who I've known for 25 plus years do the right thing and be done right by.

Please guys, let's have your unbiased advice [privately or otherwise] as to how much this FWB coupe should really be valued at.

best regards, Nick :)

'83 was the last year they had those HT4100 badges on the fenders.

Maybe they were getting a little bit ashamed already. :thepan:
