Well my vacuum hoses are almost dried out and need to replace them soon but im really broke, REALLY. So does anyone know any good sites that have tutorials on repairs for cadillacs or anything in that nature?

Vacuum hoses are pretty cheap to replace. When I replaced them in my car, I started with the hoses I knew were bad and that effected driveability. The best part is that if the old hoses are there you can replace themone at a time without a manual. If some hoses are missing, you will probably need a shop manual as a guide for replacement.

I know they're pretty easy but i really suck at cars and plus a site with cadillac repair tutorials will come in handy a lot.

Theres really only one way to fix hoses... replace them, tape and time simply cost more money than the correct solution.

Perhaps if you posted some information on the Cadillac in question we can try and provide diagrams.

it's an 1988 cadillac brougham with a 307 in it. it's got like either 162k or 262k miles on it. pretty much all of the hoses are dried out.

Hoses either work, or they have a break in them. Replacing them couldn't be any easier:
-cut off a small section of one end
-measure the length of the hose
-go to parts place and ask for xx length of xx ID vacuum hose
-go home, remove old hose, replace with new
-repeat until done

You really don't need a tutorial or a manual, unless you really want to take every single hose off, all at the same time. No mechanic would ever do it this way, why would you?

No sense in me trying to fix it for him, as I have only two feet. I do have two arms, though.

You might also need a few Ts or reducers. I think you can buy a small box of them at parts stores. Try not to buy one at a time. Box is a lot cheaper, and you will likely need several. Also, be careful that you do not break the ends off of any sensors on the engine. Very easy to do. Use a razor blade when taking hoses off of sensors or Ts.
