Most units have a tuner and a car dock that mounts either to your windshield with a suction cup mount, or to an air vent w/those little hooks. You'll have an antenna that you can probably leave on the dash, but might have to put on the roof (it's magnetic, and you close the car door on the wire. You'll also have a cigarette lighter power adapter. The signal will get to the radio most likely through wireless FM modulation or through a cassette adapter. If your head unit has an aux input jack, you can use it. Depending on the radio you bought, some can be hardwired into the power and the FM modulator can be hardwired as well for the signal. I have Terk XM Commanders in 2 vehicles that are set up this way, and are also custom built into the dash. kbevere 11-26-07, 03:47 PM thats what i wanted to know. if it works wireless to my car radio. the rest i can handle im sure my self.
