I'm kind of torn about what pic and/or pics to use in the calendar. So, I decided I'd get some other opinions before I officially submit... again. Sorry if you guys are tired of seeing my cars.. but tough. lol. I was only going to submit one pic, and since the Brougham was featured last year, and Denice isn't ready for her close up quite yet (in my eyes anyway) The Phaeton is the main candidate. So, here they are, tell me exactly what you think. I know they aren't ideal settings, but I just went for a drive and snapped pics at some places I parked, to have more of a real, spontaneous feel. Wish there was a quality, non franchise Italian restaurant in this town. A little place with charm, that would make for a great shoot. But these'll have to do. :)

#1. I like this one, it looks cool with the stormy sky and all.

#2. if it wasn't for the fire station, this would be a perfect shot I just love the angle and lighting, plus the autumn trees in the back.

#3. Just another profile with nice light.

#4. I know this is the last location you'd think to use for a shoot, but I like the grainy, kind of shabby urban surroundings.

#5. I swear I wasn't trying to rip off Dopestar's shooting location, lol. I just ended up there. Kinda morbid, but could work for October. I might replace the sky for a better effect, so let me know what you think.

#6. Honorable mention, more of an after thought while I was walking than a calendar pic. Just threw it in for shits & giggles.

So, opinions?

Ben--I like the composition of #1, though #5 is cool. :D

1 is good, but 5 is super. The colors of the car and it's surrounding blend together flawlessly, and would make for an awesome October picture.

I also like the rear view. I always think Cadillacs look best from the back, with their distinctive tail light styling.

#1 and #5 are cool.... Although I'd love to see a pic with just landscape in the background (No cars, buildings or signs) and the car wearing the Goodfells tribute license plate.

I dunno, they are all nice pics but they look like pics that someone took of a Phaeton just sitting in a parking lot.

Any nicer places in your area for a good photo? The one with the cementary in the background is cool.

#1. The most rustic looking setting, with the least amount of miscellaneous junk in the backround, plus, it looks kinda ominious with the sky like that.

Thanks guys, I know they're all pretty shitty locations to take pictures. But around here it's that or trees, and I got tired of trees. Plus, all the pictures that I take seem so planned; as in I know the locations like the back of my own hand, so I get nothing from looking at them, SSDD ya know? So, I'll try to find some better places to shoot. At least we don't have snow here yet, and won't for a while. It's just that east Tennessee isn't exactly the most culturally aware local in the world, so it's hard to find landmarks other than old barns or outhouses. So I just try to get pics where I like the angle/lighting on the car, and have to let the background slip.

Both of us need to take a trip home, to Detroit.

I pick #1, though #5 is cool, too. Now if you had done #1 as a front 3/4 shot with just the parking lamps on, it would be perfect.
