Yeah, I know it's kind of early, but after living in Oregon for four years, I've learned that dry weekends can be hard to come by, so if you want to get anything done outside, you can't procrastinate when the weather cooperates.
Yesterday was gorgeous — clear and sunny if a bit chilly, so I played golf with my sister and brother-in-law's brother and had a great time. I haven't played since August, and this summer, I was just playing a little par-3 course. But yesterday was at the Corvallis Country Club (http://corvalliscc.americangolf.com/). I shot a 55 for nine holes, not horrible for me. I had par on a par-3 and a bogey on a par-4 and chipped the ball into the cup on the 9th hole, so it was a good day. And even a lousy day of golf is better than shopping on Black Friday.
Anyway, it was dry again today, so I put up my Christmas lights. I don't go all out, just 3/4 around the perimeter of my house. I think I used a total of six 25-light sets, so 150 lights total. My house is gray with red and blue trim, so I prefer all red lights. This year, I also bought a set of LED stars for the front flower bed, then laid down a couple of strands of blue mini lights around the perimeter.
I got done around dusk and took a few pictures trying different settings on my camera. From a distance, the stars just look like white blurs in the pictures.

It pretty much took all afternoon, and I'm tired and sore from clambering around my roof (which is way steeper than it looks). But I'm happy with the results.
So, let's see what your houses looks like all lit up.
