First, check your SPID sticker in the trunk to make sure you have option AU0. This is the factory keyless entry option. It wasn't standard until 95. If you have it, go to the trunk. On the left side, pull back the panels and find the wiring. There will be a black wire with a connector that doesn't connect to anything. Stick a screwdriver in that, and the locks will cycle on the car. This tells you the system is ready. Press a button on the fob. The locks will cycle again, telling you the code has been set. That's it! You don't need a Caddy fob, either. I use the fob from my 95 Impala SS on my 92 Roadmaster wagon. Have to be careful when the cars are parked together - one push unlocks both cars! The SS also has a GM keyless/alarm on it that I use instead. saved94fleetwood 11-24-07, 08:35 PM I think i found the plug in. It black with two black wire going into it. I put the screw driver in it and nothing happened. Is the car supposed to be running or the key on? it wont work but ill try again tommorrow jayoldschool 11-25-07, 11:57 AM That should be it! Make sure that both contacts are being touched. Also, try the key in, turned to "RUN" (but with the car off). It's been a few years since I did mine... caddycruiser 11-25-07, 07:11 PM Follow this to the T: http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/cfb-tech.html#rcdlr Just have the key on run, and make sure to touch both contacts in the plug. The hard part can be doing that AND trying to hit the button on the remote at the same time...but an extra pair of hands solves that. I did it myself, after a few missed tries of keeping contact on the plug. When done...horn honks, and you're good. | |
