WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - New research reports posted on the American Cancer Society's Web site late Tuesday suggest that a Florida man with no medical training may have invented a machine that could lead to a cure for cancer. "It gives me goose bumps that there might be a better way to do this and it looks like it's happening," said John Kanzius, inventor of the machine.Kanzius, 63, is a former broadcast executive from Pennsylvania who wondered if his background in physics and radio could come in handy in treating the disease from which he suffers himself.

Created in his Sanibel Island, Fla., garage, Kanzius' contraption kills cancer cells using non-invasive radio waves, WPBF News 25 reported.
Kanzius explained that the science of his machine uses a solution filled with nanoparticles, each of which measure no more than one-billionth of a meter. A test subject would be injected with either gold or carbon nanoparticles, which would make their way through the body and attach to the cancerous cells. The test subject would then enter the machine and receive a dose of radio frequency waves, theoretically heating and killing the cancerous cells in moments and leaving nearby cells untouched.

If it works, that dude's gonna be rich beyond belief. Keep our fingers crossed.

Next week on "Cospiracy Theroys of the Trailer Park" we will discuss how this machine will be bought by phizer and kept secret .

We will also have part 4 of our ground breaking series "Meth Labs and how the goverment is trying to take them away". We will be discussing the myth that they explode ...

We will also be talking with Jimmy Mcbarrow who not only pioneered the "transmaro" but was he second guman on the grassy knole , and his hatred for guns that jam at the wrong time....

Till then this is stoneage caddy saying "Keep the foil on your mobile home and your satalite dish disconnected"

I've read about this. It's still a looong way before uuman testing IIRC, but promising. The guy is a freakin genius.

The first question that comes to mind is why would the particles be attracted to cancer cells? What property do they have or the cancer cells have that would give them an affinity for each other? The second is that there are hundreds if not thousands of different cancers. How many does this system treat? The third is why would the nano particles react to the radio waves if there is such a mismatch between particle size and the wavelengh of the exciting microwaves? Why don't the microwaves heat everything in your body like a cup of water in a microwave oven? This sounds like duck butter to me. I'll wait for the writeup in the AMA jounal. People want to believe this stuff. That's why they can sell electric funnels to stick in your ass to treat hemorrhoids.

Precision directed radio frequency waves are already used to ablate cells in the heart to treat atrial fibrillation. They're also used to ablate painful thrombosed veins in the legs. It's done every day in the hospital where I work. I imagine the waves are focused on a small tissue bed to ablate and kill the cancer cells, but they would also kill some healthy cells. I don't pretend to have a thorough understanding of the technology, just a guess.

eta: In terms of tagging cells with markers the injected particles would likely contain a chemical that shows affinity to receptors located on the cell surface of target tissues. Receptors on the target cells should bind the marker on the injected material making them easier to find.

Targeted chemotherapy is already in use, so this would be an extension of that, applied to a form of radiation therapy. It's a good line of thought for solid tumors. Now, it would be interesting to see if we could develop something for non-solid tumor cancers (e.g.: leukemia).

Very interesting. My physics professor up at Kettering University told me that was working on developing a way to cure cancer about a year ago when I had him, and it was identical to this.
