Has anyone tried this? Is it even possible?

These things are eyesores no matter how well they're done. IMO they take away from the lines, especially at the rear. Has anyone heard of someone blending them in, either with fiberglass or with sheetmetal?

I know what you mean, I just bought a whole rear set off ebay for 199, they are aftermarket, they look better than what i had, but they are like smaller than the originals and bend in strange places.

You could certainly do it, though I've never seen it done. However, be aware that in a collision where the bumper moves on its impact absorbers, you will end up with more extensive body damage.

yes, i realize that point about a collision. i would love to see an example of this but can't seem to find anyone who did it.
