Gun rental at the ranges is common stuff down here. It's actually good if you're considering buying a particular piece. You get to actually shoot it first before dropping several hundred dollars on it.

Wow, I might be tempted to watch some of those shopping channels if they sold firearms - and were able to ship directly to your home rather to a FFL holder.

Just about any indoor range has weapons you can rent. You can't take them out of the store but you can shoot them all you want if you want to pay the inflated range ammo price. :) Definitely a good idea when shopping for a new pistol to go rent one and see if you like it first!

"Dons Guns" is located here in Indianapolis Indiana. I've been there a time or two. Unfortunately I think Don was shot and killed by a robber several years ago and whoever runs the place now definately "wants to make money" because they're probably about the highest priced place in town. The do rent Desert Eagles though!

I've just done some research and it was a clerk at Dons Guns that was killed, not Don himself.

Renting guns is a good thing. Don is one scary Colonel Sanders look-alike. :confused:

My dad hit a bear once in his fuel tanker. It got wedged between the two axles on his tractor and he had to drag it a mile or so before it ground enough of the bear off for it to fall out. And you think a skunk smells bad!!!
