Rich, Good for you. I have been a chevelle guy since I was 13 and I just bought my first Cadillac about 6 weeks ago. Mine too is a 73 coupe deville. I have been learning as much as I can about them and I feel that this is one of the best looking devilles made (aside from the 68). The lug pattern on your car is 5 inch or "5 on 5". It is the same as 1/2 ton GM trucks and some of the bigger cars. Search the posts for more info. What wheels are you going with? I have thought of changing mine too since I am needing new tires. Originals are only 15 x 6.

Thats funny because i am a chevelle guy also... i have owned a couple cadillacs as daily drivers but this is my first "toy" cadillac. I thought they were 5 on 5 but i wast sure. Its a shame because i have a set of 20 inch rims that are 5 on 4 3/4. I am thinking of going big at least 20's but possibly 22's.

Cool: I have a chevelle too 1965, sadly I have a deposit on it, shes going soon:getaway:. It runs real sweet. I also picked up a 70th anniversary 72' Coupe deville. I like the looks of the 72' Nose, and rear bumpers over the 73' just my personal opinion. Goodluck with the 73'.

Wow...... That's pretty cool that all us early 70's Deville guys know our Chevelles. My chevelles are mostly 66's and several are project cars.
I love the 72 Deville as well, but I think if I ever seek out another Cadillac it will be a 68 CDV. Anyway Rich keep us informed on your wheel selection. I've been wondering if mid 90's Impala SS wheels will fit the Deville without modification. Seems like it might be tight.

The first Car I was ever in was my fathers 1973 Coupe Deville. That's the car he owned when I was born and I think that played a big role in my Cadillac addiction.

Here's a Pic of my 65 Chevelle. Runs 11.30s @ 118 on Dots, sbc no bottle, all throttle. BTW there's a Q-jet on her. Old school iron heads too.Imagine if I put on some state of the art alloy heads, and a new Demon carb. 10s all day long with no cage..:want: I'm going to miss her
