I went and looked at a few Cadillacs today, all broughams, RWD.

First and last brought me back in time to taking my 81 tripple black coupe out of the garage after sitting 10 years.

I found a guy who had a 81, tripple black fleetwood brougham SEDAN, that has been sitting in a garage for the past 10 years... When i heard this ughh... SAME story.
I get there, same scene, up a narrow driveway, in the city, back of the driveway was a rickity old one car garage. I went to look at it for a parts car, belive me thats what it was only good for. The doors of the garage opend and it was my car all over again, wiht 2 more doors. Coverd in dust, flat tire, shit piled around it. Only thing this time that differs, the retard left all 4 windows down in the car, and the window in the garage was open, along wiht a leaky roof, let the weather drip and go right into the car. The outside chrome that was once gleaming was now coverd in green moldy decay. inetior was TRASHED. Caked in shit. The guy wouldnt budge at $500. I wouldnt have given him $100. Car was useless. His exact quote " its ok, ill just leave it in there" Poor car.

Car #2
87 Brougham 67k Gray on red leather. My uncle actually bought it for 125$ and tried pawing off to me for $350. older mans car. not a one owner. paint was badly faided/ dulled. Chrome was nice and there. Back bumper shot. Didnt run, electrical issues, and bad leaky windshield. Needs electrical work that i dont have time for. Plus my good uncle, who i sold a 94 town car to when he needed a car, i sold for at teh cost to me, which i could have sold to someone else and made $$, was trying to make money from me, and he didnt even do anything to it!! Thats why im not going to buy it. Prob def worth it. other then the headliner falling and cracked armrest the int. was mint. The nose would be good for my 81 (yes im debating on keeping it 80's style, only if i can find mint chrome.) But that whole money fact pissed me off. Ill prob end up wiht it somehow, lol.

then on the way home from that, i accidently stumbled apon a white 87-89 ish delegance. Moonroof, wire wheels. Actaully nice wheels too. Car was sitting in a parking lot with a few other shit box cars, but this car you could tell had LOW miles. one of the tires (that was flat) was a original gold ringed royal seal. I have the info on the hick bum used car dealership acroass the street. Im going ot find out whats up wiht that. FAR from a parts car.

Car number 4, I dont know what to do about this.
Well You know my Tripple black Fleetwood brougham Coupe delegance.... i found its sister. Same ****ing car to a T, except the year, 1985. (ht4100) Tripple black, delegance, FLEETWOOD COUPE!!!! 81k orig miles. didnt show it, at all. Guy put a new starter in, fuel pump, plugs rotor, exhaust, tires. After the plugs it died on the highway, and got towed home, to where its been sitting since 2 months ago.
Body was rough. Alot of rot/ rust. inside of doors, trunk, even in odd places like rot HOLES on the roof, door posts ect. unfourtunaly a parts car. Top was torn up, bumper was rusty and bent in, the tail lgihts were in poor shape (chrome) The interior, headliner saggin, front seats spliting ( i also need front drivers seat) back was mint like usual.
Guy wants 500, prob could get it for 400 tho. I would have really liked to get teh pass door (mine down the pass side looks like someone slightly swiped a car or guardrail. I can fix it, but a dent free door would be cooler. This one had bad rot on the bottom and post (where i have never seen before) All the stainless was there, rockers ect. Id also like the nose and chrome. Chrome wasnt nice enough to make me keep the 80-89 on my coupe, and the fender id need had a rot hole. I could use the carpet. Mine just looks beat for some reason. And this one had OEM floor mats i could gaff. All the door panels, dash was nice. I know the fleetwood parts are worth soem cake... I could prop use the whole exhaust too, mines in pieces. Along witht the tires.

All the other shit he was trying to get his money back on, is uselss to me. Hes like, yah i dumped mad money into the motor, but its a 4100, that doesnt run as of now. lol.

I really want it, just to have i guess. I got PLENTY of space for more parts cars. 17 acres. :)

Im really going to think about the coupe. Offer him less. I want it.

Then i got a number from a guy out about a hour from here, witha v6 coupe. He wants 700 for the whole car, or 2-300 for the car, minus motor tranny and coumn. He was a weird guy. I got his number from a friend.

Then i have a guy in derry NH, with a semi decent 89. NICE inteior, wiht a ticking 307. The guy barely drove it in his time of ownership. It sat for a year, then his retareded son started it after a year, and reved the motor high RIGHT after starting it. There was no oil in the top of the motor. Now it ticks. $500 for that. That was also a CLEAN car. Checked paint on the top surfaces, shitty top. But clean otherwise. I was debating on picking it up, throwing some mystery oil in and seeing where that took me, then flip it. It was a CLEAN car...

All these cars, idk what to do.
Dont be hatin calling me cheap either!!
I just bought a 2000 DTS also, $4000, 92k. :)

Interesting, thanks for sharing.

Lowrider guys will pay out the ass for the Fleetwood coupe parts, that's a goldmine.

yes i know... i parted that free 83 fleetwood coupe and made a killing!!!
Most of the stuff id need off its already shitty, or not any nicer then mine.

The others are just all optional parts cars.

Whoa, you're only 19 and have 17 acres? You must have some friendly parents! ;) And I don't remember you getting a free FWBC; how'd you pull that off? As for your situation, I think you should buy all of them or as many as you can and put 'em on your lawn for parts, sale, restoration, or lawn ornaments (I'd like it). :cloud9: Either part them out to folk who need them and make money, or restore them with eachother's parts. In any case, you'd save some Broughams from a horrible death of sitting or rust. Do them a service and bring back their old glory or disperse their soul across new owners.

Oh, and give us some pictures!!

Your luck amazes me. It's like up in the North East, people are just giving away these old Broughams.
