Just bought my 2005 CTS-V 11-15-07. I loved the car a lot when i was driving it, did not think to fully check the interior :banghead: no nav disk, no spare tire or jack, the sun visor was missing an anchor, and the arm rest is cracked. When i was buying the car they sent it off to get cleaned and fill the tank, but did nothing. i am going back tomorrow to correct all of this. Is there anything else i should have them do. I have been reading the site to find out about the common problems, any help you can give would be great.

You don't get a spare or a jack.

Suggest you get an extended factory warranty also.

The V is a hoot. Welcome!

Welcome, fortunately all your problems are minor. First, these cars come with run flat tires, so you will not have a spare nor a jack. If your car doesn't have run flats on it now, you can buy a spare and a jack and keep it in the truck if you wish.

For your other minor problems, get the dealer (or wherever you got it) to fix it. If they won't, those are minor parts you can pick up at any Caddy dealer and do it yourself.

Now drive the car and throw down some rubber (just be careful of the wheel hop).

got the ex-warranty and they said they would fix everything. so far the car itself has been a blast. the first-to-fourth shift mode is taking some getting used to.

wHEN YOU TAKE THE CAR BACK IN FOR THE GAS LEAVE IT THERE. Unless of course you want to be in a love hate relationship with your car as we are...

Either install cags to skip 1-4 shift or shift before 14mph or after 23mph and it will let you go to 2nd. you get used to it or lastly let the shifter go to the right but don't pull down to fourth pull back to left and down to second takes longer but it tricks the computer and if 1-4 comes up shift time is not important as your not in it hard. and welcome

Since your armrest is broken, contact Lindsay and get the regular CTS center console. It gives you more storage and better elbow support on long drives.

Assuming you bought from a Caddy/GM dealership, ask the Service Manager between his doughnut breaks to print the service history to confirm all repairs and warranty work performed. He should be able to advise on which ones have yet to be done. Wise choice on the extended warranty, bad choice on the color-JK. Good luck with the V, and be sure to visit Mod Hell a few times:lildevil:.
