OK so I have posted all the problems with my 2005 CTS V, Stealth Gray...I've added the Corsa, ECU Tuner, Subs, Tint, Clear Bra, and rear spoiler.

Now the Regional Rep is suppose to call me today, and ask me what I want. What GM product do you think I should opt for? They need to know which car as that is how they can come up with a "deal".

I have a narrow list...but I am open to suggestions.

2008 Hummer H3 V8, around 40K (before deal)
2008 Cadillac STS V, around 80K (before deal)
2008 Cadillac SRX V8, around 55K (before deal)
2007 Cadillac CTS V, upper 40K (before deal)

What do you think...and I know your all a little biased since you own the CTS V? I just need some input...also remember is snows here (Colorado). V does fine with snow tires.

No go on the H3, too small
STS-V, nice, but not $80K nice, try for $60K
SRX V8, better than H3, not better than H2 or Escalade, try for $5K off invoice
CTS-V, of course our favorite, you know the problems and hopefully this one will not have a lingering sunroof issue, try for $5K off invoice

Why no C6Z offers, this would be my choice if your stable of cars are sufficient for job and family.

Good luck, do not take their first offer on price, give them a day and then come back and hit 'em hard.

You should get a 2008 Chevy Malibu or Saturn Aura, better yet get the Hybrid models.

Saw an '08 Malibu at the dealer last week, not for me, but it has appeal due to nicer interior than ours-at least from initial look, as the car was locked.
GM is making strides, and let's hope the '09 V has an interior to match all the hype regarding the drive train.

OK...my current stable...please don't throw anything at me...

2008 Jeep Rubicon (wife's winter vehicle)
2007 Dodge Charger SRT8, Super Bee (wife's summer vehicle)
2005 Dodge Ram SRT10 Quad Cab (my fun vehicle)
2005 Dodge Viper SRT10 (my fun vehicle)

and CTS V (my all around vehicle)

They have mentioned the 09 several times...its just I don't know how long I can put up with my current car's constant problems. When will we see an 09 anyway?

You are damn good if you get them to make pricing concessions on an '09 V-probably not going to happen as car will be MSRP+ for at least first six months. Pricing has yet to be released, so GM may not know profitability.
Get a new '07, Thunder Gray is smoking, get at least $5K off invoice, make them throw in a 100K mile warranty.

C6Z not a good choice as you already have a Snake.

By the way, kudos for having 5 American-made cars, very few people can make that statement.

I'd take the money and buy a CD and wait.

As far as the 09 CTS-V, I wouldn't commit to a car that I couldn't get any info on.

I agree. But why the CTS-V & not a 300 Touring? Don't they make a SRT-8 version?

I see. Well you'll be loosing that if you go with any of the other rides you've listed, so go with another CTS-V.

Nice garage by the way!

Nice choices, the first one is going to be priced out of the market, as I have heard only 3K production/year. You can take a C6Z, sterengthen the internals, lower compression and run 14-18psi on TTs and get near 1,000HP, and still have enough left over for tow vehicle and trailer.

By the way, who is Tom Osbourne running over in your signature?

I hear ya. I'm a bit scared to get one myself! But of your other choices, I'll say this...

Can't stand an H3! WAY too underpowered! UNless you get the Alpha series. I had one for about a week while my CTS was in the shop & I couldn't stand it. And for as big as it looks from the outside, it's kinda small inside. Seemed about the same as my 04 Grand Cherokee. Didn't like the way it handled either. And it's nothing to brag about off road either. (yes, I thoroughly test out my loaner vehicles!) I felt like my Wrangler was more sure footed. Ever thought about the SRT Grand Cherokee? I'm not too big on the styling myself.

The SRX is nice. My wife want one of those. Looks an awful lot like a station wagon to me though. Other than that, I don't have any negative things to say about them.

And of course the STS-V would be nice! Can't think of anything other than the price that would be a downfall.

Yeah, I threw the ZR1 just for fun (not that it wouldn't be a good choice, but just too expensive).

I wouldn't be opposed to the new Camaro either (but I tend to go with GM).

Bill Callahan.
