I am able to get this car for $30,000 with 17000mi. Would the service history below be something that should scare me away from the sale? It is certified to 100,000miles, but I dont know if I should be worried about the rear differential replacement.

I may be picking it up this weekend.

Hey Randy its Nick from the CEG. I wouldnt be too worried about the service history its short compared to some others that have been posted, and your getting the 100k warranty. I thought you already got it but I guess not. Good luck with it you will love it. I thought you were getting the inferno one? But either way same colors and the svt.

I was sooo close to getting the one in Tampa, but this one was a better deal and my favorite color (even though I hate having to keep it clean).

I am buying it. This is the one. It's MINE!!!!!!!! just looking for reassurance I guess.

I need to pick it up this weekend, but my wife is out of town, and I don't have a ride up there. Must convince a friend or family member to drive three hours there and back to get me from Lakeland to Jacksonville.

Nothing there that most of the rest of us haven't experienced, and for $30k and depending upon the color (:D) sounds like a good deal.

The BEST part is that you'd be able to join the rest of us here and talk about our cars together. Don't you agree?

EDIT: Oh, I see it's black. Well, you can't have everything.

j/k Looks fabulous!!!

It is certified to 100,000miles...

I thought '06 and newer certified pre-owned Cadillacs had the 100,000 mile warranty not the '05's. Be sure to get it in writing.

You'll love the car, welcome to mod hell :bouncy:

It's not showing in the system yet as being Certified- the Warranty will end on 6/30/2009. It's not uncommon for a Dealer to wait until the car is sold to file the Certification paperwork with Cadillac, but make sure the paperwork says "Cadillac Certified Pre-Owned 100,000 mile warranty" and you get the little owner's manual card that is signed by the Manager.

Other than that, it looks like a nice car- congrats!

2005 cost me $1,100 to be certified it can be checked at any Cadillac dealership just give them the VIN. So gald I did it I went back one day after I got the car just to cover my ass and get it certifed it already paid for it self

If you would like I can run by there on riday to check it out for you, maybe snap some close up pics for you even test drive it, so you don't get any surprises. Of course it would be my opinion not yours and its dollar. Willing to help out though. Don't want you to make a wasted trip.

I am buying it unless something is horribly wrong with it. I will try to get down there by Saturday, but if you could swing by and check it out in the next couple of days I would appreciate it. It would be nice to have a CTS-V owner who already knows where to look for problems.

the paint looks mint but do you really want tan inside? bad resale value.

Randy - Good luck on the purchase. Looking forward to occassionally seeing another V here is Lakeland. About all I run up on is a regular CTS with the V grill and emblems. (I parked next to him at a restaurant one day so he could take a look at the differences). I know there is atleast one other infrared V in town, but I rarely see it.There is a nice black STS-V in south Lakeland. You will be helping to raise the standards out here in rural Florida.

Big pimpin in Lakeland usually means buying a brand new F-series turbo deisel truck and lifting it. We should meet up sometime.

I like the tan interior. My current car is black with dark midnight blue interior. This equals thrid degree burns when you first get in the car during the summer. I am hoping the tan interior will make driving the car in the summer more bearable.

I live in south lakeland, and I have seen the black STS-V. Seeing that car is what got me started on seriously considering the CTS-V. Before this I was looking at getting a EVO IX MR (that car doesn't even have cruise control!).

Randy - Went by Nimnicht today and I didn't see it anywhere on their lot. They were having some radio broadcast so they may have moved it into the back. If I get a chance to go by there tomorrow I will.

I picked the CTS-V up today, and my drive from Jacksonville to Lakeland has led to me being absolutely in love with this car. It is a blast to drive, and I averaged 25mpg on the drive back.

Enjoy the new V. I'll be watching for you in south Lakeland. Hope we can meet up sometime. My V spends a lot of time on Cleveland Heights and Lake Miriam. I live off of Luce Road and work downtown.

I would love to meet up with any locals. It would be nice to have somebody ride in the car and tell me if some of the noises I hear are normal. I think I hear a clunking that might be a bad motor mount, but I am kinda paranoid looking for problems after reading what people regularly go through on this forum.
