The CTS is slightly larger overall. 4.6 inches longer, 2.7 inches wider and .8 inches taller. The CTS has a 6 speed automatic, the G35 has a 5 speed automatic. Taking the product of the dimensions shows that the CTS is about 8% larger than the G35. That would account for about 275 pounds. The transmission would add some more pounds.

I will let the engineers and the experts give you the correct answer but on the surface it seems to me that its because its a bigger car. 4.6" longer, 2.7" wider and .8"taller. I don't know how much this represents it terms of weight.

It would be even more if the CTS had a sunroof to match the tested G35.

It's longer by like 3 inches and wider by about an inch. It's just bigger.

What does the M class Infiniti weigh? The G35 is a little car compared to the CTS.. so theres your answer..

I would like to know what the 50 thousand dollar M35 awd weighs if you don't mind..

I'd bet its the same or more than the similiarly sized CTS.

3. M35 approximately 4,000 pounds..

The '08 CTS is a 5 series competitor.
The G35 is a 3 series competitor.

Cadillac's Euro-BLS will be a 3 series competitor when it comes here.
