Just purchased a new '07 CTS (2.8L). Was shopping for a Chevy (of which I have had many), and they had a Cadillac store at the same dealership. Wasn't really considering a Cadillac, but after a great test drive, the 0-72 month financing, standard 4 year 50K bumper to bumper warranty and the 5 year 100K powertrain warranty...sort of put me squarely in the Caddy Camp! Only options on this one was the Automatic Transmission and a Sunroof. No modding plans on this one, just a nice daily driver.

Glad you got the warranty, its always nice to have that with a preowned vehicle.

Welcome aboard.

CTS is a great car. I tried to convince a friend to do the same thing you did, but he was concerned about his new-to-him car getting vandalized where he works (bad part of town). He decided to buy a Chevy. He was probably too cheap to spend a few extra bucks for a used CTS. That 100k drive train warr is attractive, and I realize that warranties sometimes/typically call for breakage of parts (not wearing of parts).

Good choice with the CTS. It is one of the few unique looking cars out there in a sea of "Me-Too"s.

Got the Sunset Blue with Light Grey/Ebony Interior. MSRP was $33,070. GMS (employee price) ended up being $29,397 (including $500 Bonus Cash) and 0% Financing for 72 months (free money). Sunset Blue wasn't my first color choice (would have preferred the White), but pickens are mighty slim on the leftover '07's with the 2.8L engine (Las Vegas area). Was looking for something that got better gas mileage and didn't require premium gas (traded in a loaded '06 Chevy Trailblazer SS AWD). My last 3 rides had GM's LS2 engine in them ('05 GTO, '05 SSR and '06 TBSS), so I am sure there are going to be occassions where I am going to miss the power/torque of a 6.0L V8. Anyway, will also try to post some pics tomorrow. Thanks all! :wavehi:
