I'd expect that from a small dealer,,,but a franchised Chevy dealer???
While I was looking for my V, one guy told me the "car is perfect, nothing wrong with it." It was kinda rough, a TPS was not working, AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON!!!

So did the person that traded it in pull a fast one on the dealer? The dealer may think they have a V....

The dealer may think they have a V....Now, that would be funny!
It would serve them right for being so unfamiliar with their product.

3.6 l V8 making 400 horsepower eh? Must have been a secret project...

Must be the grill that makes it sooooo fast...

everything's done based on VIN#; if they ran the VIN, they'd find out real quick that it's not a V

If you click on model info, the right info comes up.

Deceptive?

I think someone got their wires crossed.

Maybe they just messed up the descriptions for two different CTS's they are selling. One V and one not so V.

Ouch.

The car clearly has had V logos added (you can see them in the pics). I'm betting the Chevy dealer got hosed and didn't look at the VIN. :(

You'd actually be surprised how often people try it- I appraise trucks with 4x4 stickers or LTZ badges that really aren't.

Tony,

If that did in fact happen could or would the dealership sue or file charges? or is this just a you got F'd and move on without liability thing.

Daaaamn,
Kids got balz to do the ole bait and switch:helpless:

Depends on the Dealership and the amount of the screw up, I think. Regular CTS vs. CTS-V? Not so much. Appraise an SLK as an SLR? Yeah.....

I sold cars for 5 years before coming a mortgage broker and I have seen dealers get screwed bad on trades. Traded a Volvo and the trans fell out 5 mins after the customer drove any in the new car. Also had a salesman traded a car that didn't run. He didn't know, never test drove the car. Rod hole in the side of the block. He was fired. We were screwed on both
