View Full Version : Not the best selling point... hueterm 10-26-07, 12:44 AM This is such a crock -- even if it's true, why try to sell your car on the back of a skank?:abuse:And look where they're disclosing a "coffee" stain on the carpet. It was probably the result of a "no-panty" incident...

RightTurn 10-26-07, 12:59 AM "We believe Barron Hilton is Paris Hilton's grandfather and also the owner of the Hilton Hotel chain." :bigroll: Obviously the opportunity of a lifetime.
:alchi: I~LUV~Caddys8792 10-26-07, 01:13 AM What in god's name would a HILTON be doing driving a Buick? That's far to common of a car for *those* folks to be seen in. :arrogant: hueterm 10-26-07, 01:21 AM They had to drag Paris home in something when she was puking up her "coffee" in the passenger seat.

You'd be suprised, at least with the older generation. I can recall, in the past, at least one or two other rich older people who DID have something like a Roadmaster.
Think of it this way. Some won't buy anything foreign, but want a large luxury car. So, domestic only, what do you get? Fleetwood, Roadmaster, Town Car (which, as he claims, Larry King is a fan of and always buys), etc. And, further, a woody Roadmaster wagon just has another special appeal to it, especially in the mid 90's when it was the last of a breed.
I believe the ownership claim, but either way, it is just a nice, low mile Roadmaster regardless. Dadillac 10-26-07, 07:44 PM You'd be suprised, at least with the older generation.
Agreed. Some people (unlike here on this board) couldn't care less about owning a fancy car. No amount of money would change that. Personally, if I had thier money, I wouldn't be seen dead in a Buick.
Don caddycruiser 10-26-07, 08:39 PM ^^Ah, the Buick loathing continues.
I've gotten into big discussions over this on other boards, and I "get it", but am also still intrigued how certain brands--no matter what the current products are starting to be like, etc--still have people who refuse to be caught dead near one.
But yeah, you hit it on the head. Like the mass millionaire Larry King, he could have a fleet of Bentley's...but he likes his Town Cars, and even going to the local Ford dealership, so that's what he stays with.
It's very typical...and trust me, there were many other celebrities who probably also had Roadmaster wagons (among other B/D bodies) in the fleet years ago. hueterm 10-26-07, 09:45 PM If anything, the help could have driven it to get groceries or take luggage to the airport in... I had a RM sedan -- you could put a ton of stuff in it -- the wagon would have been even better. caddycruiser 10-26-07, 09:49 PM If anything, the help could have driven it to get groceries or take luggage to the airport in... That too. Remember, theoretically if the Hilton grandfather really was the owner, he would have been 70 at the time...golden prime for new Roadmaster ownership, whether just he or whoever used it.
Still, doesn't really matter and AT LEAST, they did honestly say this:
Of course most folks who're visiting this listing weren't really looking for any celebrity owned vehicle but just a very clean 1996 Roadmaster Wagon with extremely low miles. Either way, this is the one to have.
And knowing these cars and the people who buy them now...that's exactly who will probably get it. A collector/enthusiast who could care less what the title said. CadillacSTS2003 10-27-07, 10:30 AM ahhh
its very refreshing to see an honest scam artist
kudos to them codewize 10-27-07, 02:28 PM What's going on under the hood there. It looks like someone took the time to dump a bucket of dog crap under there on daily basis. I have cars with 200,000 miles on them that look better than that. | |
