So I got new rims a few weeks ago.. Black powder coat/chrome trim. So I was wiping off the brake dust yesterday and was horrified when I saw a small scratch.. Only thing I can figure out that would cause it, would possibly be a rock. Anyways... I know the ideal thing to do would be to have it re-finished, but I really don't want to go through that for a small scratch. Most people probably wouldn't even notice it, but I DO (now that I know about it) and it BUGS ME!! The scratch is on the part that is black powder coated... Is there any touch-up or fix I could do to it? I would like to be able to somehow "paint" the scratch the same tone black (glossy) if possible. If it's not I would like to at least "seal" the scratch so that it will not cause more problems down the road (rust, discoloration, etc...). I am new to chrome rims, so I apologize if this is a stupid question. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Depending on how big/deep/wide the scratch is, you could always take a Sharpie marker and try to color in th scratch to make it less noticable. What is the base material on the rim - steel or aluminum? If it's steel, then you may want to thnk about touch up paint. If it's aluminum, the Sharpie shoudl work fine.
