just was wondering why the sts 4 was slower than the rwd sts? is it weight or just the gearing...i figure it has to have good traction on take off...i've read its about as quick as the six....what are the official numbers for the sts line of cars from 0-60? thanx Jason

The weight and final drive ratio both work against the STS4 in 0-60.

I clocked mine at 6.78 with a passenger and regular fuel.

Not bad ....would you recommend this car? or would you go without the awd? i just got done reading some posts abound tranny problems and rear dif. leaks..just dont want to get a car that is a pain in the ass.

I had researched this question and found the following from a variety of sources, so I suspect that they are inconsistent:

STS-V: 4.80*
V8: 6.00-6.50
V8 AWD: 6.90
V6 (DI): 6.50*
V6 AWD: ~7.00

* - Cadillac estimates, the rest are reviewers' times and are not reliable.

I wasn't looking for AWD but found it in a good deal. Now that I have it I can say it's not just for snow. It helps out quite a lot in the rain. I wouldn't worry about maintenance or reliability issues of the AWD.
