I'm 47, I had one for three months when I was a Cadillac District Sales and Service manager (company car). I was 34 then.

Just got an 88 (Red) and 68 yrs old going on 20!

'89 Silver/saddle 50 years old, but this car is making me feel much older! (love this car though)

45 with red 1991 Allante for about 6 months now saddle interior love this car. Hate the gas mileage.

It's actually a weak car. I drive cars for power and performance, not luxury. Maybe when I'm as old as some of you fogies I'll settle down and get a caddy, lol.

I do want to thank jono6406 for getting me to remember the horrors of working in GM financial as I updated these worthless statistics. Remember that this was done with arthritic fingers and horrible eyesight. And these numbers are subject to audit ( another whole thread could be a definition of auditor). So drumroll please! As originally compiled on June 2nd 2006, of every one on this other site, who posted at least once, and posted their birthday and assuming that they owned an Allante, THE AVERAGE AGE WAS 55.7.
damned if it isn't just like a GM accountant to take something fun and break it down to worthless numbers.

My 91 gold Allante is my second one. First was a 88 pearl white, tan interior both tops car. I was introduced to the Allante while an assistant service mgr with a local Cad dealer in 1987. Drove a twin pearl white 88 on my honeymoon when the car was new! 8 years ago I found a virtual twin 88 white one locally and drove it for almost 3 years. I sold it because it was very low mileage and spotless and I was afraid to expose it!! A month ago I found the 91 gold one with over 100,000 miles in very good condition. Now I have no problem driving the hell out of it. And, oh, I'm 60. I've owned a Corvette (66) Charger (66) RoadRunner (71) 5 Cadillacs, 1930 Model A Victoria (stock). 1930 Model A coupe with Buick V/6, 1919 bucket T with Corvette eng and 4 speed, 1937 Oldsmobile with Corvette drivetrain (Rod&Custom cover car) a 39 Chevy 2 dr sedan, Corvette drivetrain, 3 Buick Riviera's 65, 66, 67. 67 Buick GS with a bored 455 Riviera engine. 3 Mercedes(66, 72, 81) any many, many others to finance my Car obsession!

have provided for the various Cadillac and Allante communities.

1989 Black, w/saddle interior... I'm 36 yrs old. I remember in 1987, my friend's mom & dad bought a brand new Allante. They boasted that it was the 2nd or 3rd one to be sold in New England, 8th ever sold (if memory serves). It was Silver with Burgandy interior. How radical, especially then. Always remembered and admired those cars, and finally nabbed one!

Every Allante is OEM three tones ..
- exterior
- seats, carpets, lower door panels
- dash, upper door panels, top cover

Every OEM Allante has a mat-black exterior valance, regardless of paint color. We dont even count that one.

So, we proudly call one like yours TRIPLE BLACK.
MY '92 is a Triple Black,
my '88 is a Black Ext / Tan-Saddle Interior with Brown.

They both have RED accent stripes.
one has RED stripe tail lights.
one has BLACK stripe tail lights.
