Just traded my '02 STS for an '05 STS with 3445 miles. I like the new refinements... handling, performance, smooth trans to name a few. Here are some things I miss from my '02........

-Ease of setting seat and steering memory from door panel.

-dash panel lighting options and digital display for mph

-lighted stalks for wipers

-cruise control on steering wheel

-exterior lamp control on dash

-windshield pissers on wiper blades (why "adorn" the 05 hood with these????)

-auto PB release

-turning lamps

-left side tank fill

-trunk opened all the way with remote

-the memory features acted all at once on the 02 and one at a time on the 05

-still no oil pressure gauge or display on DIC

-two sun visors on each side

-double decker console

-power outlet on floor.. front pass. side

I'll stop now...I have no regrets

Besides those above 4 exhaust tips for me .

Mine had the rectangular tips, and yeah...those were stylish.

More to follow as I become more acclimated to the new style, but so far........

-better headlamps (save for the cornering lamps)

-more nimble handling

-better side bolstering in the seats

-any one else have felt in the ashtray? This works for me since I don't smoke;)

-throttle response and transmission are vastly improved

-I have yet to find enough road so far to wind it out in manual (but it has only been a couple weeks)

-shifting feels seamless even in manual..I would prefer firmer shifts in manual mode

-I will ALWAYS denounce the absence of an oil pressure gauge

-The cockpit is very business like and although I am a gadget guy that prefers a lot of switches and buttons....I find the climate controls too close together and harder to get used to as compared to the 02's layout, and the temp control on the SW was a nice touch on the 02 as well

-Fit and finish appears nicer except for some plastic parts. The dash on the '02 was warping from sun exposure and the leather on the upper door panels was coming apart as well. I don't see this happening on this model.

-so far I'm diggin' it

Possibly more effective at very high speeds. But I am not really sure.
