Well the 2004 JD Power IQS2 numbers are going to be released tomorrow, and the anticipation is driving me crazy.

Anyone want to take any guesses on how the industry will shake out this year?

Just to refresh everyone's memory, last year the top full line manufacturers' scores were:

Toyota - 115pph
Honda - 126pph
General Motors - 134pph
Nissan - 135pph
Ford - 136pph
DaimlerChrysler - 139pph
Volkswagen - 141

So the competition for this year's numbers is pretty fierce.

By brand, the top 5 were:

Lexus - 76pph
Cadillac - 103pph
Infiniti - 110pph
Acura - 111pph
Buick - 112pph

I'm guessing (hoping) Cadillac will continue to close the gap with Lexus this year, but of course I am a little biased... :)

Well the numbers are out, and overall the industry is getting to be quite a horserace.

I'm sure there will be many headlines from the numbers, but some of the ones I like the best are:

#1 & #2 Assembly plants in North America:

Lansing Grand River - 74pph
Detroit Hamtramck - 91pph

#1 & #2 Brands:

Lexus - 87pph
Cadillac - 93pph
(Closed the gap from 27pph to 6!)

and finally...

PPH Ranking, Cars Only:

Cadillac - 81pph
Lexus -83pph

Ride with pride, my friends. :)

I've been saying for a couple of years that GM has turned the corner! The rice boys can get ready for a long bumpy ride down the list over the next few years!!:coolgleam :coolgleam

I belive "pph" stands for -problems per hundred- an 84 pph would mean 84 problems for every 100 cars. so lower the better, and it doesnt necessarily mean 84 cars would have a problem, it could mean 42 cars had 2 problems, etc
