I guess the previous owner broke it somehow..who knows...I just know it bothers me and I'd like it fixed. Does anyone know if they can replace just the button or if they have to replace the whole unit (which is probably expensive)

E-Bay or your local junk yard would be a place to start, you may find someone that has removed the unit abd wants to sell it

mine is the same way, except its the power button,,drives me crazy!!!!!
