When the window is all the way down and I close the door, the glass rattles alot... sounds cheap, I never paid much attention and thought things were just worn out... but I was playing with it a bit and put the window all the way up..... no more rattles and it sounds nice and solid (like it should) So I took a peek in the door, and the glass wiggles alot.

On the front of the window (edge facing front of car) its just resting in the channel, which causes it to move around a bit, I thought there was a plastic piece that went on the glass... some sort of guide for the window channel.

Can anyone confirm this? If so, where can I get a new one? Would it be in the HELP! section at the parts store?

I know what you mean; mine did the exact same thing. However I believe there's only a clip on the rear of the glass that stays in the track at the rear of the door. In theory the track that's a part of the rear of the door frame should keep it steady. But when it's down in the door, it's less secure and stationary.

My best thoughts are that the parts underneath the glass where it attaches to the crank are loose. Probably an arm or something just needs tightening; hence why new cars are so quiet when you shut the doors. It really did bug the living daylights out of me, but all cars will eventually do it.

hmm, I'll have to see... I don't think the passsenger door widnow rattles when closed, so I'll compare... maybe something does need to just be tightened up.

Ha ha, JB Weld is like deluxe duct tape.

There is a small metal clip on the backside of the window that keeps it in a track. There could be a few other things inside, perhaps the bolds themselves that hole the window onto the track. You'll just have to take the door apart and explore.
