Hey guyz.
I just swapped a factory nav system in my '07 srx from another '07 srx. I thought the process would be painless, but after having the dealership unlock theftlock to match up vins, The unit is unlocked and functions, but the audio controls don't work, leaving the stereo thumping at a million db. No balance, fade, volume, bass, treble, nada. Whasup??

Give some details. Did your vehicle have NAV before the swap? If it had NAV before did the new NAV come from a vehicle with the same level audio? Maybe you've got a lot of wiring to wring out.

I agree, there could be issues with the amplifier based on speaker options.
Do you have any info on the donor car?

Thanks for the replies guyz. I got the nav from car-part out of another '07 srx. my srx only had the stock bose system in it. the swap was a piece o' cake, w/ all wiring harnesses "supposedly" plugging right into the back of the new unit. Are there wiring mods required for the swap, or is it plug & play -being '07 for '07, srx for srx?

As a matter of more info, all other controls work: NAV works, dvd, radio, aux, steering wheel controls all work except for ALL audio controls including steering wheel volume. So in other words, everything seems to work properly except for anything audio related: volume, balance, fade, surround, treble, mid, bass, steering wheel volume, etc.
