Hello all,

I have just purchased a 2003 Escalade with only 32000 miles with all the goodies but it came with no instruction manual for the navigation system. It works and will talk to me but I am having a hell of a time navigating through all the menu to figure out how to make the thing work without a manual. I am new to this forum and I have been looking through the threads but there is so much information I was hoping one of you can give me a quick link to a pdf manual.

Go to www.mygmlink.com and register your vehicle. Then make sure you're at (or go to) "VEHICLE HOME", then click on "GLOVEBOX". You can download a PDF of the Navigation Manual (or the regular manuals for that matter).

P.S.: It doesn't get much better even IF you have the manual. I've heard that people like the touchscreen nav in the '05 and up better. The 2004 joystick version, in any event, is very non-intuitive after using both a Garmin Streetpilot and a Garmin Nuvi. Still better than having cords draped all over the dash though. The DVD updates, however, are basically prison rape...

Have to agree. Had the joystick nav in my 2004 and hated it. Touch screen is a bit better but the UI is still the exact same, just the input device changed. So glad the newer models have a better navigation system.
