Is there an online classified anywhere for autos wanted? I keep watching the for sale classifieds, but seldom see one. Has anyone had expr with the auctions, like eBay. I'm wary of it. Would rather find an indiv or dealer. Any suggestions out there? In 1999 I traded my baby for a new one and now I'm sooo sorry. Seller's remorse. I can't take this tuna can any longer!

I think dealing on ebay would be the same as dealing with private party or
dealer, you get good ones and you get bad ones.

Check out this link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=005 .

It's from this post, "My Dad's old '93 Sixty Special Ultra is on eBay...?!", on the 60 Special forum at

Good luck!

I have bought over 30 cars on eBay and sold over 300 cars on there. You win some and lose some. Just do some good research, perform and autocheck/carfax, and if you want the extra security, have a third party look at it for you.

Goodluck,
Elias

Amen. Someone needs to put their hands on an ebay car prior to purchase. Actually, on any car for sale.

Are you a dealer?

Once he sells 5 cars in a year, many states absolutely consider him a dealer.

Newspapers (classified pricing) do too.

My Father has a dealers license, mainly because he owns 16 cars and the state of Virginia only allows you 5 per year.

Pls pardon, I'm not very familiar with forums: just trying to find a car. Your question re dealer: Is that directed to me or to fleetwood?? I am not a dealer.

Went to ebay as you suggested and found three within 500 miles of Bham:two of them a hearse and a limo. I'm just not willing to travel any further to look at a car. Of the thirty you have bought, were you looking for something as specific as I am, or just a good deal on an auto? Is autocheck a vin check company like Carfax?
