I have to pull the broken ones off and install new ones; is there a way to change the steel lines going to the mirror at all or am I screwed? Also, what kind of line do I need to get?

I've got manual mirrors, which means I've got the stick on the interior that has the spring inside to pressurize the line. I believe the proper disassembly prociedure is to disengauge the steel line from the stick by pressurizing the spring and removing the holders, then the door to get to the mounting bolts, remove the mirror lines and all in one go as well as the heater lines (I cut em', **** it, they never worked anyway) then reassemble. I think there should be some way to remove the lines from just the mirrors, correct? The Ape Man 10-02-07, 05:40 PM No picnic on the passenger side. The pot metal piece comes out of the plastic dash mount with a set screw. I started collecting electric mirrors from '87 or so and newer models for replacements. | |
