Hello everyone,

I have a 98 STS and the following equipment does not work. The seat heaters, and traction control (seems like no power to switches) The climate control blower does blow but the heating and cooling does not seem to work. I get a suspension service message. I think that this all happened after the battery went dead. I was out of town and my wife had to get a jump to get it started. Will I need to take it into the dealer or someone else to get the computer reprogrammed? Any Idea's

I don't believe your problems come from a faulty PCM (Powertrain Control Module). From your post, each is a separate issue. Look at the top of the Seville, N*, and Tech pages, the Tech Archives ^ way up there, and the search function at the top right. Learn how to pull and interpret DTC's (Diagnostic trouble Codes). When you figure out what's being stored as faults, you'll be equipped to come back here or go to a dealer. We may be able to steer you for some problems, but not all........

I pulled the codes and this is what I come up with. I pulled the front wheels looked for a bad ground wire, took the air box out to see if the PCM had any wire problems, ?

P0231-Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit Low ( Car has been seating for a few days battery low?)
P1644.....Throttle position sensor circuit, or traction control fault
P1602.....PCM to ABS module communication problem
