I have never seen a true 80's SS without a floor shifter. I suppose there could have been a bench seat option, but I wonder if it started life as a basic Monte Carlo. It would be a hot car (minus the rims) if it was really an SS. If not, then not so much.

Yeah i also like the car its self. When was a kid i always wanted an SS. I think the car would look sweet if the rims were 19s. they look nice even though but should be on a truck. I dont know why people do that to there car with rims that big. if its for a show car fine, but to do that just because you think it looks hot. i feel bad for you :helpless:

Well I will saw it is one of the cleaner looking one's I have seen. Not for me, but I give the guy props. I have to admit I like to look at them. They always look like about 30 clowns should climb out of them. hehe

I agree (as well as the rear spoiler). However, the column mounted shifter is suggesting otherwise. Either a clone, or there was a bench seat option. I used to love these cars and the Buick GNs, which is why the oddity (beyond the wheels :) )caught my eye.

I think a little different from everyone else. Some cars do look stupid but, when I was growing up we did stupid things too. Like putting 10000 watts in a car to make it louder. I have respect for all car guys/girls no matter what their habit may be. If he likes it good for him. He is the one paying for it.

My brother's '86 SS has the column shift option with bench seats...not very common at all.

why is everyone surprised to see another one?

But, I must say, that is clean, and one of the better looking ones out there, but I agree, some classic Cragers and that would be sweet

oh yeah my brothers friend had i think an 83 Trans Am and had it jacked up nice and i loved it. i was like when i get older and get my own car im so doing that. But by then that was out and my first cat was a 91 honda crx i had a set of 15s on and i thought that was going big. then again for a small car like a CRX 15 was big :bouncy:

The bench seat was in fact an option on the '80s Monte SS's...I've seen a few at car shows and on eBay throughout the years.
