It's a shame too, because his father Johnny Burnette was an accomplished and pioneering musician... Unfortunately the family talent stopped with him. What's even sadder is that fact that my brother, at one time (and possibly still does) owned his follow-up album, "Heart Stopper." Ugh... Apparently, Rick Nelson was offered "Toein' The Line", but didn't jump on it fast enough ... too bad, as he could've used one more hit record at that point in his life.
