Oh my God... Rocky Burnette... that was one name I never wanted to remember. It's a shame too, because his father Johnny Burnette was an accomplished and pioneering musician... Unfortunately the family talent stopped with him.

What's even sadder is that fact that my brother, at one time (and possibly still does) owned his follow-up album, "Heart Stopper."

Ugh... I feel sad (and old) just knowing that....

Yeah, his dad, Johnny, and uncle Dorsey were a big part of the 50's rockabilly scene, hanging out and writing for Rick Nelson among others.
Apparently, Rick Nelson was offered "Toein' The Line", but didn't jump on it fast enough ... too bad, as he could've used one more hit record
at that point in his life.
