I just went on a over 1600 mile trip to Parris Island, S.C. from Hattiesburg,MS to see my brother graduate from the Marines and the 96 Brougham drove like a champ. This is the first time I drove it this far and I only got gas once before I left, once about half way, once befor I left S.C., and one last fill up in Atlanta on the way home. I only spent a little over $200 in gas. People say that big fleetwoods, caprices, and roadmasters are gas guzzlers, they're better than most others on the slab. My brother's mom was driving her P.T. Cruiser and got gas twice as much as I did. I love my LT1 fleetwood and can't wait until the next trip.

P.S. It was cool until some a-hole knocked my mirror off on the interstate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just completed my second 2200 mile round trip from Montana to Vegas and back since July in our 1996 FW 6-door Limo. We pulled 19-21.5 MPG with a full load cruising at 80 up and down mountains the whole way.

One really gets spoiled on the long roadtrips in such great cruisers.

Yea he rode back with me. He was listening to all of my cds trying to catch up on all the music he missed in there.

Yeah, I was too. I got an honorable discharge, so I was pretty happy. Two weeks later, I bought my Deville at Fort. Gillem, GA.

93 Deville USMC, I used to have a 90 deville with the 4.5. I put a lot of money in it and just had too many problems with it so I sold it.

Benzilla, I was driving on the Interstate and this big Ram 2500 swerved in my lane and knocked my mirror off!!

How was the 4.5? And what kind of problems did you have?
