Will a Chevy 454 and turbo 400 fit in a 1983 Coupe Deville? Has anyone tried this? What problems would I run in to motor mounts, clearance to firewall and steering, etc. What would I need to do going from fuel injection to carb. fuel pump, return line?

A swap close to this was done not too long ago, check the archives. I can't remember what year the swap was done on but it was an 80-92 for sure.

Yup, it will fit.... I can measure my BBC L29, aka 454, aka Vortec 7400 if you need it. Mines in a 99 K2500 Suburban with the Port EFI. Which would be a great swap.

Talk the guys at TeamChevelle.com, they know these engines WELL....

Just make sure you don't have a 7.5" axle.... If you do, you won't have it long....
