Well.. Hyundai has their XG350 - but this looks like it'll be more interesting...

http://www.kia.com/041703.shtml

Keep in mind that this car has the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty. Hopefully this helps UP the standards on all luxury cars...

For the last couple of years, I always thought the largest Hyundai looked like a Deville (esp. the front end), now they are totally copying Mercedes Benz. I hear they have made huge quality leapes foreward, but I wouldn't bet my life savings on it.

KIA? If we all had to drive those, We really would need a "Well Made Car" LOL! LOL! I don't think so!

that car looks very nice. As i said numerous in the forum before, don't forget that Hyundai hasn't gave US their flagship sedan which is big as a deville with 32valve v8 in it.

Hyundai/Kia are seriously closing the gap between where they entered the US market and where the bread and butter US sedans are quietly sitting. To anyone who foolishly laughs at thier exploits, I only need to remind you of what most industry (and non-industry) "experts" said about the probability of a Japanese automaker (Toyota) ever being a serious threat to the US luxury market. Complacency has a way of getting you bitten in the ass.

Nobody said it was any IMMEDIATE threat to Cadillac but I would still warn against complacency.

Yea...my girlie has a Hyundai...when she bought it, at first I laughed, then I cried, then I drove it. Damn. She bought the Sante Fe cause she thinks she needs an SUV with 4X4 or something. Well...rides well. Is much quiter then her blazer ever was. Pretty damn good fuel economy for what it is. Yea...all in all, I would much rather have it then my Ranger...and I have always disliked the Korean cars, I guess maybe Hyundai is getting somewhere.

Oh yeah, 195 hp. Soon there'll be Kia forums all over the web talkin about how they beat a car with 105 more hp than them.

Yeah, no matter how good it is, it will still be a KIA. Maybe there will be a spin-off company, like lexus and infiniti.

Kia is crud on quality surveys, but Hyundai is now supposed to be as good as Honda from what I've heard and read!?

If you look at the console, it looks like they just yanked it from either Ford Windstar or Crown Victoria.

Other wise, nice try. And I mean that sarcastically.

My daugherty got a KIA after she wroteoff her sunfire, nice car and they are built on the same line as Hyundai , but I paid the same price on my 99 STS as she paid for her 2003 KIA

At least she has moved up from a 2 star safety rating (Sunfire/Cavalier) to a 5 star rating. According to the NHTSA, that is.
