Well I am picking up my CTS wednesday. It's a black on black '05 and is pretty much fully loaded without a sunroof though :bigroll: But I am open to suggestions about what to do first. I have other cars and am addicted to modding... just not sure where to start with the CTS. does anyone have any clips of exhausts? Nothing too extreme as this is my daily driver... but maybe a nice little rumble. Any interior tricks with the navi and bose systems? Thanks in advance...

I have the 3.6. and I am searching certain things... but usually people are eager to give someone new to the community some advice. I've done it countless times with people purchasing subaru's.

I highly recommend the Volant air intake. It adds quite a bit of horsepower while increasing gas mileage significantly. :)

Welcome to your new car and this forum...I have the same car you have with dark gray. I love it intensely. I drove by a guy yesterday who had a dodge stratus or some dull ass thing like that. He had it all tricked out...A huge smile on his face just as proud as could be...as I drove by he saw my car and the look on his face was priceless, realising no matter how much money he spent on that thing. I had him beat because I was rolling in a Caddy and he was rolling in a Dodge. It was a little funny I thought I'd share.

surprising no matter how often this topic comes up no one ever mentions the tune!
volant of course and corsa/borla seem to be the way to go as far as exhaust but for $400 you cant beat the hp tuners ecm tunes that are now available, i believe its an increase of around 18hp to the wheels but i don't remember torque numbers off hand ... i havent found anywhere in ny that i trust to try this on my car but as soon as i get to nc, its first on the list ... you can expect about 290hp with everything i listed, not a bad lil daily driver huh ...
Welcome to the forum dogg, many of us have the volant and V-exhaust combo. Post pics when you get a chance.

hey chris, welcome.
grilllle! sports grille, mesh grille, stock grille painted to match the body color, WHATEVER... either way its a great improvement over the stock grille that comes with the car.
do a search for fogs & sidemarkers round two... theres a cool guy around here who makes clear/smoked sidemarker & fog lenses for the CTS/CTS-V guys. $40 will get the complete set to your door. (if u do the sidemarkers, make sure to invest a couple more dollars in getting some 6-LEDs for the sidemarkers... search for "LEDs" and look for the thread "LED's, read on").
i think corsa is the best sounding exhaust there is for the CTS, doesnt over-do it, but then again its all about personal preference....
V-Bumper is a good looking mod to do -- will cost u just as much as doing your exhaust, but improves the look of the car drastically... there are a few threads around here on it ... (look for thread titled something like "Cheap V Bumper")
Volant, of course
some like eibach lowering springs, but thats strictly cosmetics & seeing as to how u had a subaru before this i'm guessing you're more into upping the performance...
if you wanna do a nav, there are plenty of threads around here for it...
system? look for "Geek needs help from Nerds" or something along those lines .... if u have any more questions, talk to FlyFlip420 (mike) & he'll help u out, as he has done for many others.
the list goes on, but thats a nice way to get u started ;)

If the car didn't come with HIDs then this is a nice, relatively inexpensive mod. If doing the HIDs, then make sure you replace the corner/triangle light with LEDs to give the best look. See my post /w pics. It was about 2-3 weeks ago.
