Hey guys, my 1999 Eldorado has a blown head gasket. There is a couple products out there that they claim will seall the leak off, without having to do the replacement. I know this is not a good way to go, and I am planing on geting it fixed, but I need to drive it abot 800 miles from where I bought it to home. Has any one tried this? Is it possible to seal it off for a trip like that?
Thanks.

Repairs in a bottle do not work.

They MIGHT slow the leak, but cause other problems too, like a clogged radiator and heater core. Mine was a VERY slow leak, so something like that might have worked.

The only thing that will fix it is money, and alot of it. Consider the car undrivable.

You don't have very good luck, I thought you did headgaskets on a 97 Eldo
not to long ago. Do you have a 97 & a 99?

I have a 96 Eldorado with the same problem. I just bought a reman engine for it. I agree with the post above. Don't waste your time with the bottle of "fix it up".
