Cadillac's cachet is strong enough now for an entry vehicle, provided there's balance at the top with a high-priced ultraluxury vehicle. Taylor said the idea of a flagship sedan for Cadillac is still alive.

That's good news...

Welcome back, Fleetwood!

I wish. :)

I think there's a good chance for this new flagship (not the STS/DTS replacement) to be a "Fleetwood" (not the name).

I'm betting on "ULS". Cadillac has been talking about using that one for years now.
My guess is a 7-series sized car priced similar to the Escalade and using a direct injection "Ultra" V8 or that V12 Cadillac developed and has been sitting on. I also expect design to be a production version of the Sixteen showcar (updated to fit in with the current lineup) and interior similar (and maybe even parts sharing) with the Chinese SLS.

It would be real nice to see Cadillac take the lead and offer a full-blown V16 version as a V-series variant. Something to compete with the high-end offerings from Mercedes AMG (and BMW does not offer a performance version of the 7, so it would make a firm statement that Cadillac is a serious player in this market).

Yeah I want Fleetwood too .Providing that in a traditional style just like '93 -96 ones with the convenient of the modern tech . That means adding some more gadgets for it yet keep it the way it looks The Cadillac of the Cadillacs

If they combine them, they better at least have the AWD option. I am damn serious; all the old people want is AWD. I'm freakin serious when I say that. Go do a survey. I hope there's something that has a lot of power and isn't too small.

This is why I'm just keeping my '96 STS. In 2017 I may consider adding the 2007 STS, or an 08 depending on the style I like better. I'm cheap. :cloud9:

If its not "Fleetwood" or "ULS", I hope they call it STS. Its currently the oldest badge/trim level in Cadillac's lineup (1988?).
