The '98 STS I just got has some burned out light bulbs in the brake light "bar" that is built in the trunk. I have never had to replace any in my '94, so I really don't know what size and if I can get these at a standard auto store.

Also have a burned out front fog lamp. Again, my '94's still work from the factory. What do I need here? Thanks!

There are no bulbs to replace. Its all circuit boards and LEDs.

The 1998-2001 lamps all fail. 100%. The wrong sealer was used and allows water intrusion. The water eats the circuit foils off the circuit boards.

Thanks Logan. So where is the best place to get a circuit board? Caddy dealer or are their suppliers out there? My local Caddy dealer is horrible. They charge full price. I did find one in Royal Oak Michigan last summer for a new trunk pull down for my '94. They charged me $150 for a new Delco unit as opposed to the $300 my local theives wanted. Any sources would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The '98-01 lamps are a disaster. 100% water intrusion.

This same subject came up a couple of weeks ago on the '98 lamps. Forget fixing them, forget used. For now just try to get the best price on a new one.

I had some time tonight and took a picture of a couple of circuit boards.

These boards are called blow outs. Enough moisture soaks into the board and one day it blows apart. The picture you can clearly see that failure mode.

The other failure mode is harder to see. If you look very closely at the circuit foils on the boards. The black stains/spots are really the foils corroding away off the boards. Look on the upper right hand board....the whole 1 inch of foil has darkend. Its in failure mode. No fix.
