I am looking to get some new wheels for my Eldorado, not sure what size to go with. I don't want to go any larger than 18, not wanting to kill my ride are 16s or 17s a better choice? I have some nice tires right now and was thinking that maybe a 16 would be good, would it look too small on the eldo?

I wouldgo with 17s... Tires are MUCH cheaper... I remember looking into it, and at most sizes the cheapest 17" was under 100, and the cheapest 18 was OVER 150!

I too was thinking along those lines, but I was also thinking that there wasn't much of a difference between 16 and 17, so why buy the 17 when I have some new tires already. Think the 16 would be too small?

18's, Run a 245 45 18 touring tire, go to tire rack. Admittedly, about $110-150 but worth it in looks.

I'd go along the lines as go no samller than 18s, 17s are too close to 16s. If you want that modified look that you HAVE rims, then definitly go 18s. You can go 235/45 18 in order to have the same overall tire height and nicer ride. I got Kumho 235/40 18 Ecsta Supra's on 18" x 7.5" Rims. Heres a link to my car but, I do have a 2" drop on the car so you can gauge how the rim size looks. But keep in mind that the overall diameter of my car tires are 24.5" compared to stock 235/60 16 26.4" The numbers arn't totally accurate just off memory, but i know the diameter was about 2" smaller.
