I have a 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham that I inherited. It has been in my garage for over 10 years not running. It may need some minor body work and paint touch up, but the original red leather interior is just beautiful. Within the next few years I will start restoring the car. Where should I start/ Where can I find parts and a shop/service manual? What are some good upgrades for this specific model?
Sounds like you have a beautiful car in the making. 1969 is one of my favorite years for Cadillac. Serivce manuals are readily available, either on good old e-bay or through specialty book sellers. Most common parts are easily obtainable, too, though trim pieces may be more difficult. I would start with the mechanicals first and leave the cosmetics for last, as the cosmetics can get screwed up while working on the car. I also recommend you join the Cadillac and LaSalle Club. They have great resources that are especially valuable when dealing with a Cadillac of this vintage.
Good luck with your project and keep us posted.

Don't forget the backseat footrests.
