I am thinking about set my radio and antenna on my SRX, but there are very limitted space available to set them.

Anybody here put rigs and antennas on the SRX?
I would like to see some pictures how you manage the setting.

I posted a thumbnail of my antenna mount in this thread: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-srx-forum/116352-take-off-roof-rack.html
You'll also see comments from Mike, VE2EMR
I'm just running the coax to a HT (handy talkie). Not too many places to mount a radio and I haven't done much beyond mounting the antenna.

Thanks for the info. I've just jumped the thread.
Well, I also have the Ultra View PLUS, so to too much space for antennas...
I am try planning how to set the gear and ant.
By the way, my callsign is KK2H.

Glad to see you are also a Ham SRX2007.

n7don_srx sent me some pictures along with excellent explanations of his installation inside his SRX.

I'll keep you guys posted if I decide to install my mobile gear inside the car.

I finally set a rig and an antenna on my SRX.

I tried to put the antenna quietly. I use black base and black antenna to match with my SRX.

Nice pictures SRX2007. Fun to see the driving wheel on the right side of the car!

I didn't finalize my installation yet, but I routed the antenna coax from under the driver's seat to the rear, and I did put a black antenna mount just as you did, however just a little bit higher towards the glass on the rear panel.

I did try my portable several times and used the auxilliary input on the radio/nav to hear the audio and it did a real good job.

Wonder if we could hook up an Icom IC-7000 video output through the inputs on Coastaltech's GMX320 Lockpick... (http://www.coastaletech.com/GMX320.htm) That would yeld a pretty concealed installation!

P.S.: "73" means greetings for Ham Radio operators!

Yeah, you've noticed that this SRX is for the traffic in Japan which is you drive on the left lane.
Also, GMAP (GM Asia Pacific) made some little changes for Japan traffic laws such as you can notice the color of the tail light covers (In JA, the stop has to be color red and turn signal must be yellow. Reverse color must be white.)

My SRX looks just like a Sport Package, but actually this is 7 seater and has the rear DVD entertament. So it has RCA jacks for AUX video input. I can use it for IC-7000; however, I cannot see it on the front screen while driving hi hi.
