KICKASS!
I hope by "update" they don't mean "ruin" the interior, but only time will tell!

This is mad cool. However won't this deminish the value of the original cars built in the early 80's? I hope the updated interior consists of really only a CD player and a couple air bags. The beefed up engine is an awesome idea though. V8 please......

Meh. I imagine they'll have the same degree of success the original car enjoyed.

Nah, I think it'll sell a lot better, especially after the fame it enjoyed with the movies.

I loved the look of those cars 25 years ago, mainly because they were ahead of their time in styling.I don't think they'll sell if they look the same today. It would be like bringing Jimmy Hendriks back to life maybe?Although great in his day,too many others have learned and evolved because of him.I see Delorean styling in many car models.I say Flop in 2 years unless their planning on serious suspension upgrades and world class power in excess of 600 hp.

It is what it is... it's going after a niche market, they aren't exactly going after mass market. I think they said plans on producing like 2 a month or so. No, it's not gong to be the next Camry, but certain people will buy it. I saw a documentary about the DeLorean that started the company, very sad story. Desperate people do desperate things.

It was just another exercise in style over substance. Brilliantly concieved and poorly executed. It was a flop then and it'll be a flop again. :horse:

They look like hell and were never finished. The engineering department ran out of money and the developement work stopped. The examples I've seen look like a kit car put together by amateurs. They did pretty good to start with then just slapped the rest together. It's a novelty and not a serious car. It's the details of the nickle and dime work that make the difference and these things are lacking. If you take off your rose colored glasses; WoW! turns into, how the hell are we going to cover up this mess?
