My Transmission make a whooshing or rubbing sound hard to explain. It is coming from the front driver side tire area. It only does it in P or N. I all so got the codes:

P089 (E089) ................ Long Shift and Maximum Adapt (Trans. Pressure Control)

and a T077 that i couldn't find any info on.

The tranny doesn't seem to be slipping any. But haven't really gotten on it since it started to make the sound.

Any know what it could be?

On the way home today I did a hard accelerate on my 93 ETC and also threw a PO89 code. This is after I just finished solving this problem http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9123&highlight=harmonic+balancer (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9123&highlight=harmonic+balancer)

What is the underlying problems to give this code?

I don't know. But my car will not move anymore. I don't have the money to fix it and I am still making payments on it. I am now driving a $750 Subaru 4x4 wagon Has not let me down yet. http://cadillacforums.com/forums/images/smilies/banana.gif
