Desperate need of help! Wife had hard time driving in the rain last night without the defroster working.

The fan motor on my 2000 Seville has a mind of its own. Sometimes it runs and sometimes it doesn't regardless of a/c on or off.

Are there any relays in this circuit? The fan seems to run o.k. when it does work. Speed control works and appears to be blowing normal amount of air.

:highfive: Joe.....Read the owners manual and fool around with the "driver preset" options. Some of the ventilation system is controlled by the presets and whose fob has been used to unlock the car. It can be maddening.....everything is optional....fan speed, A/C, temperature.......not recirc, though....

You hope it ain't the fan unit. Ain't one of those $29 units. Over $300 just for parts. Looks like a module from space shuttle with all kinds of capacitors, etc.
